releasing their music in one year and all their artists in the label sound the same. You can't say the same if it was TDE, etc. Last modified on Wed 06.28 EDT Although music aficionados might see themselves as deep types, the appreciation of music is often linked to gossip. This album really felt like a collection of reject reference tracks and b-sides with a couple of highlights.Īnd I think worst part is the Toronto sound influence got oversaturated with the entire OVO label (Majiid Jordan/DVSN/Views/Roy Woods) releasing in one year did no favor for PND coming in last and you can argue that they all sound the same and/or PND didn't bring anything different to separate himself between them all. I think I can recognize Joy, Only You, Not Nice, Come and See me, and Nobody if I played it in the background of a room and did other things. There's an obvious change in quality once Come and See Me comes on while the rest all sound the same. Not Nice sounds like it was offered to be a Drake song on Views but Drake took One Dance/Controlla instead. He gave away his best songs to Rihanna and Drake, etc, and took the leftovers to be his album. It's an album that'll take time and for some people will only be enjoyable for certain times/moods. Overall it's a great project in my eyes, but if you were expecting the same sound as PND1, or even PND 2, you won't like it right away. This album is quickly becoming one of my favorites and has been all I've listened to since it was released. I can already see this happening to me with P3. But it was a sound I loved, and as I listened more, tracks began to stand out on their own. I was kind of underwhelmed and felt like it all sounded too similar at first. But to be completely honest thats how I felt about PND 2 at first. I do agree though, this album may sound a bit "repetitive", at first listen. He sets a certain tone that can't be replicated by many imo. Instead, I listen to his songs as a whole, and Party has that perfect voice that for me, blends in well with the production and just sets a certain mood that imo not Party can create through his music. Taking place from October 29 to December 11, fans can expect to hear tunes from PND's new album, P3, and Jeremi. But when I listen to Party, it's not just the voice that I listen for, compared to someone like Tiller, the weeknd, Jeremih, or any of these other RNB singers. In the original thread and KTT, I saw people bashing on his singing. He's the artist I turn to for that moody music perfect for late night cruising. But listening to Party's recent works, I saw that he was going for a moodier/darker album. I understand it's not a PND1, which imo, I don't think will ever be topped.

I was waiting on new PND for what seemed like an eternity. This album was the most hyped release of the year for me.
